READINGS FROM THE PSALMSReveal Your principles to me, YHWH. In his most trying hour, Jesus turned to the Psalms to express himself in prayer: “My God, my God! Why hast thou forsaken me?” (ps. 22.1). If it was good enough for him, it is good enough for us. Generations of Jews and Christians alike have found power in praying the Psalms as Jesus did on the cross. Here, we provide a daily psalm with the suggestion that you consider incorporating it into your daily prayers.

READINGS FROM THE NEW TESTAMENT GOSPELSBut he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. 12And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted (matthew 23.11-12). It is impossible to overestimate the power and importance of the N.T. Gospels. Everywhere else when God's thoughts, words, and actions are discussed, it is in the third person: "he thinks," "he says," "he does." But in the N.T. Gospels, all of God's thoughts, words, and actions are in the first person: "I think," "I say," "I do." No where is the revelation of God and His character more accurate and intimate.
